Knights of Columbus present scholarship to BG student

NASHUA – The Knights of Columbus Council 12311, based at St. Joseph Church, 777 West Hollis St., held a competition for its $500 Roland Levesque Memorial Scholarship for high school seniors recently. Grand Knight Lou DiGregorio awarded the scholarship after a 10 a.m. Mass to Alainna Belanger, of Bishop Guertin High School, daughter of Violet and Richard Belanger, of Nashua. The award is named in honor of Roland Levesque, who helped create the scholarship fund to be given to youths who have exemplified Catholic leadership and service in the community and outstanding achievement in high school. “All of the applications we received were very impressive,” DiGregorio said. “We certainly had our work cut out for us.
