Rivier’s Thanksgiving Food Drive sets record

Nashua – This year, Rivier College’s annual food drive set a new all-time record, thanks to the enthusiastic and gracious response of the Rivier College community. The Sharing the Feast: Thanksgiving Basket Project collected 304 baskets of food this year, eclipsing the old mark of 263 set in 2010. The food was distributed to 12 local agencies following an Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Service on Nov. 22. “Every year, Rivier students, faculty and staff, alumni, and friends are very generous in helping our neighbors in need,” said Mary Jane Silvia, director of Campus Ministry.
