Friday marked the last day before April break for Alvirne High School students.
With Mother Nature finally relenting to the pent-up desires for summery weather that every kid harbors, the ever-grueling workload for any student certainly took its toll.
Hurrying to turn in all of their work on time and finish up all those pesky tests the teachers have to give to make sure students donât forget their lessons over break, Alvirne kids awaited that final bell at 2:15. What a feeling when it rang!
Soon, students will be coming right back, probably tanner and more relaxed from their vacations or inevitable beach trips, ready to work. Or will they be ready to slack?
That seems to be the opinion of many seniors, who predict a sudden onset of the dreaded âsenioritisâ as vacation week comes to a close.
With only two months left until graduation, Alvirneâs seniors arenât really too focused on high school anymore, and become extremely lazy. The poor teachers just try to keep students working for as long as possible, while seniors gradually drift into slacker mode.
Itâs interesting to see what individual students think about senioritis.
