MERRIMACK â The Nashua Regional Planning Commission announced that New Hampshireâs Regional Planning Commissions have been awarded a $3.37 million grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Developmentâs Regional Planning Grant Program to work with local communities to develop regional plans in each of the stateâs nine regional planning areas.
The goal of HUDâs Sustainable Communities grants is to help communities and regions improve their economic competitiveness by connecting housing with good jobs, quality schools and transportation.
The program places a priority on partnerships, including the collaboration of arts and culture, philanthropy and innovative ideas into the regional planning process.
