The girls lacrosse team made history at Merrimack High School by winning the programâs first championship last June, against Bishop Guertin.
The Tomahawks were able to come back and steal the title after falling short in the 2011 finals against Portsmouth.
Junior Courtney Duffy said last yearâs success came from the teamâs communication and commitment on and off the field.
âIt wasnât just one player,â she said. âWe meshed together well.â
This year, Duffy believes the team has a chance to make it back to the final four if the girls work extra hard.
Sophomore Maegan Howe, who will be entering her second year on the varsity, said the roster is shorter than it was last year and has a lot of new players.
