50th GI care package due

Tom Prive was recently retired when his son Joe, who had joined the Marines, was deployed to Afghanistan. The Merrimack man always felt deeply for those who served our country, and his son’s tour of duty overseas inspired him to collect names of local military personnel abroad from his church. He put together seven or eight care boxes to ship overseas. That was five years ago. “Right after that, I found out about MooreMart,” said Prive, of the nonprofit’s ongoing efforts to provide support and care packages for military men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
