NASHUA – The Rite Aid Foundation presented a $5,000 grant to The Front Door of Nashua, a nonprofit organization that helps families at risk of homelessness. The grant will be used to support the organization’s CARE Program, which provides health care assistance to those who are experiencing temporary financial difficulties. “The Crisis Advocacy & Resource Education Program provides critical assistance to families during their time of need,” said Gayle Rife, manager of The Rite Aid Foundation. “The Rite Aid Foundation is proud to support The Front Door and their efforts to improve the lives of those in their community.” The Front Door has helped families across Nashua with the basic necessities of life, including rent, utilities, food, transportation and health care, for 25 years. The organization also provides educational programs and resources. “Without the support of The Rite Aid Foundation, we would be unable to assist individuals and families transition from crisis to self-sufficiency,” said Carol Connor, director of development and public relations for The Front Door.
