NASHUA â Best Fitness Nashua recently held its fitness-carnival event âBest-A-Palooza,â which raised $1,175 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The July 28 event featured outdoor spinning, Zumba, and free food and beverages.
Malisa Mignosa, a member of Best Fitness whose daughter Ayva is a leukemia survivor, attended the event. Ayva was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 2. She is now a happy, healthy 7-year-old who enjoys swimming, music, friends and her dolls.
âI believe it is so important to support LLS because these kids fight with all theyâve got,â Mignosa said. âLeukemia and lymphoma treatment has come a long way, and they can now save our loved ones, but it is a long, hard journey.
âHopefully, with the right support and funding, they can find a cure that is not so long and painful.
