NASHUA â The Ancient York Lodge 89 of Free and Accepted Masons has launched a fundraising effort to raise money for the Veterans Count Club, which offers assistance to veterans and their families in need in Greater Nashua.
The Veterans Count Club is sponsored by Easter Seals New Hampshire. Its goal is to provide financial assistance to veterans and their families in need of emergency services such as when a veteran comes home from a tour and is without a job, without a place to live and has bills to pay, and when a family struggles financially when a loved one is serving overseas.
The Ancient York Lodge has pledged to raise $2,000 for this charity by Sept. 30, which averages out to about $20 a day.
âI can assure you that we know times are tight for families right now; many families have been hit with some hard times,â said Ryan Flynn, senior deacon of Ancient York 89.
