Nashua High School North held its graduation ceremony on Sunday, June 17, at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester with the usual pomp and circumstance, accompanied by proud graduates of the class of 2012, along with assembled family, friends and faculty. Each graduation is a culmination of four years of hard work and marks a turning point in the lives of Nashua North students. After high school, many go off to college, others enter the military and some leave to find jobs. Graduation speakers often, and appropriately, exhort the graduates to boldly go forward into the future, to push the envelope and follow their dreams. Newly minted graduates have a unique perspective on the high school experience that can lend a valuable lesson to freshmen, sophomores and juniors. “If I knew what I do now, I would have spent more time exploring my possibilities in high school and perhaps relax a bit more,” said Vinh Tran, North’s salutatorian. “Definitely, I would have liked to conduct some extracurricular research.” High school is a short but important part of your life. Hopefully, after witnessing our senior class move on to bigger and better things, North underclassmen will realize that their time is short and that they should take advantage of it in every way they can. “The four years goes fast,” Tran said.
