Hollis 5K raises $30k through sponsorships, fees

About 1,095 runners from 16 states turned out June 14 for the Hollis Brookline Rotary’s eighth annual Apple Fast 5K Run. The event kicked off at 6:30 p.m. at the Alpine Grove Banquet Facility in Hollis. The event is one of the main fundraising events for the Hollis Brookline Rotary Club, and the money raised is allocated to high school student scholarships, soup kitchens, children’s homes and other causes. The Hollis Brookline Rotary Club raised about $30,000 from the event through sponsorships and the runners’ entry fees.
