As I stood in line waiting my turn to walk across the daunting stage in front of hundreds of people at Bishop Guertin High School, various thoughts ran through my mind.
All of a sudden, I was back in my freshman-year English class, learning how to write a BG-style âperfect paragraph.â Little did I know that this precise 11-sentence paragraph would become the template of a majority of my essays in following years.
Then a memory of my very first day at BG flashed in front of me. I remembered accidentally sitting down at an all-senior table during the lunch period, only to realize that I didnât even have lunch that period!
Through the ups and downs of my high school career, if there was anything that stayed constant, it was definitely the friendships I made. I began thinking about all the mornings I spent before school meeting with friends in the locker room. Those times seemed long gone, however.
âPankhuri Singhal, Northeastern University,â a voice above me boomed.
This simple phrase brought me back to reality.
