Students reach to grow in math

TYNGSBOROUGH, Mass. – Seventh-graders Christopher Alvarez, Maya Davis and Christopher Norman, all of Nashua, were part of an accelerated math program at the Academy of Notre Dame. The Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsborough, Mass., recently implemented a new REACH for Excellence Program. The program is designed to assess students’ current skills and then provide instruction at their personal level of mathematical acumen. According to the school, proficiency in mathematics becomes increasingly important in the world, and the REACH for Excellence Program will help maintain its rigorous elementary and middle schools program. Last year, data gathering began for a quantitative assessment of students in grades 3-7.
