CONCORD â New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism Development officials announced the launch of the âReach the Summitâ video contest to encourage fourth-grade classes in New Hampshire to demonstrate why visitors should come to the Granite State.
With the support of the Department of Education, students will work as a class to create 60-second videos showcasing New Hampshire. The videos will be posted at www.visitnh.gov/reach-the-summit and www.facebook.com/visitnh. The deadline for submissions is May 1.
âWe are very excited about this initiative and think it will be an enriching experience for everyone involved, from the students who actually create the videos to the teachers who guide them and ultimately to the viewers who will be inspired to visit our great state,â Travel and Tourisim Development Director Lori Harnois said.
Harnois said the division hopes to excite and enlighten the students not only about how unique their home state is, but also about how important tourism, as the second-largest industry in the state, is to New Hampshire.
