BG holding annual blood drive Thursday

Bishop Guertin High School will hold a blood drive in the gym from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday. The American Red Cross holds the blood drive at BG for juniors and seniors. What makes this year’s blood drive different is that BG students are a part of organizing and helping out with the drive. In the past, the drive has been organized primarily by science teachers who educate upperclassmen, including William Boucher, Kathleen Cunningham, Mary Daly, Katie Harris and Bruce Miller. However, this year, Harris has invited her Advanced Placement biology students to volunteer and help organize the drive. “Donating blood at BG for the first time is a great thing,” Daly said.
