When walking down the hallways near the gym, one can always hear the sounds of singing and instruments playing. Nashua High School South is filled with talented musicians who are willing to share their gifts with the public. A select few had the opportunity to perform for hundreds of people, an honor given only to a small percentage of high school musicians in New Hampshire. Twelve South students were selected to participate in the New Hampshire All-State Music Festival held April 12-14. All-State, as it has been dubbed affectionately, involves two days of rehearsals and a concert on the last day that’s open to the public. The performing groups in the festival include a girls choir, mixed choir, band and orchestra. For a chance to participate in the festival, high school students audition in Manchester in late November.
