Nashua resident James Medeiros, 63, was elected president of the Nashua Emblem Club 170. He was the first male initiated into the formerly all-female organization in 2008 and immediately become involved on numerous community committees. He now becomes the first male president of the 64-year-old Nashua Emblem Club 170.
President, Exalted Ruler, Douglas Tremlett, of the Nashua Lodge of Elks 720, presented the award at the installation of officers of the Nashua Emblem Club 170 for the 2012-13 year.
Medeiros works at Hanscom Air Force Base as a contactor at PESystems Tactical Data Links Branch in the Airborne Network Division, and has been involved for more than 27 years in the Boy Scouts of America.
He and his wife, Kathy, have been married 39 years.
