There comes a time when a group of special young men at Nashua High School South participate in the most important competition of their lives: Mr. NHS.
High school is all about embarking on a journey full of memories; what better way for a senior boy to create another laugh with friends while also showing off his fun side?
This event is eagerly anticipated every year by the entire school. Ten to 15 boys sign up with the winnerâs crown in mind â yes, the winner is crowned with a beautiful princess tiara â and hope they have what it takes to make the judges swoon.
The competition will take place in the auditorium at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
âThis event is fun, not serious, enjoyable, and everyone loves to see the boys get up there and strut their stuff,â said Lauren Byers, the student activities coordinator at South.
Teachers, administrators and staff members will judge the competition, basing their scores on the boysâ performances in the selected categories.
The first category is formalwear, in which the boys will make an impressionable appearance in their handsome attire.
