To the Editor: It’s important for me to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made the Week of the Francophonie held in my studio during the week of March 16-23 such a resounding success. It did, in fact, resound because our guests seemed to thoroughly enjoy the inviting sounds of live music, art from some of Nashua’s most noted artists, French motifs, delicacies of every description, conversation and culture in a warm ambiance of total immersion. In short, we had a great time. Thanks to the wonderful artists who displayed their stunning art works, to the musicians who gave it their heart and soul, to Mayor Donnalee Lozeau and Commissioner of the NH Department of Cultural Resources Van McLeod, who sparked the opening ceremony. Thanks to the proprietor of the Picker Building, Jack Bolger, whose assistance and enthusiasm for the project gave it the support without which it wouldn’t have happened at all.
