WINDHAM â Jillian Sciuto, 18, of Windham, has been recognized for her volunteer service with a Presidentâs Volunteer Service Certificate.
The certificate, which recognizes Americans of all ages who have volunteered significant amounts of their time to serve their communities and their country, was presented by the Prudential Spirit of Community program on behalf of President Barack Obama. Jillian participated in the Spirit of Community program this year as a representative of Windham High School, where she is a student.
Jillian is being recognized for volunteering more than 120 hours to various volunteer programs such as pet adoption through ARNE, baking for the Windham Art Festival, volunteering at the elementary schools helping with our preschool program and serving as volunteer for the âJump for Heartâ at Windham Center School. Jillian is also very involved working with our elderly in the community and working with the volunteer program at the Elliott Hospital.
