NASHUA â Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern New England recently presented Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua and Salem with a $15,000 grant to help fund their efforts in the Mentoring Children of Prisoners Program.
This is the fourth RMHC grant given to BBBS of Greater Nashua and Salem, totaling $35,000.
Mentoring Children of Prisoners, a statewide program with all four BBBS agencies, is a key component of BBBS of Greater Nashua and Salem because itâs a vehicle for BBBS to support more children facing significant risk factors.
The impact of the BBBS one-to-one mentoring program has been proved to increase academic confidence in young people, positively affect familial relationships and decrease illegal substance use and abuse.
