Fly Fish New Hampshire Show planned in Pelham

PELHAM – Merrimack River Valley Trout Unlimited and the Pelham Fish and Game Club are co-sponsoring the Fly Fish New Hampshire Show on March 3-4 at the Fish and Game Club, 300 Simpson Road. Vendors signed up to exhibit at the show include fly shops, guides, outfitters, and sporting and conservation organizations. There also will be seminars and demonstrations presented by local and regional experts. Hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. Seminars include “Fly Fish 101 – What You Need to Know to Get Started” with Dick Peterson at 9:30 a.m.; “Fly Fishing the White Mountains” with Bill Thompson at 11 a.m.; “Fly Casting” with Tom Jutras at noon and 1:30 p.m.; “Stripers on the Dry Fly” with Alan Erdossy at 12:30 p.m.; and “Fly fishing the Upper Connecticut River” with Patrick Art at 2 p.m. “This is an opportunity for local anglers to learn about new tackle, techniques and locations to enjoy fly fishing,” said Jim Norton, show chairman and member of both Merrimack River Valley Trout Unlimited and Pelham Fish and Game Club.
