In February, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua and Greater Salem nominated a Big Sister worthy of representing all Bigs across the nation.
This month, the organization will find out whether Pamme Boutselis will be selected as the National Big Sister of the Year.
When telling a match story, Big Brothers Big Sisters often focuses on the impact the match has on the Littleâs life. But when viewed from a Bigâs perspective, itâs evident that the Big Brother or Big Sister receives just as much enjoyment out of the relationship â and just as much impact â as the youth.
In March, BBBS Nashua/Salem featured the story of how Pamme and Hannah met and the influence Pamme has played in Hannahâs life. In this story, we feature excerpts from Pammeâs essay written to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America describing her own experience as a Big Sister.
Pammeâs match experience has been adapted from her personal essay to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America:
When first matched, Pamme found herself in a conference room meeting a very sweet 6-year-old.
