Brookline was once home to its own speedway

Automobile racing has never been one of my particular interests, but many of my friends enjoy it and avidly follow the fortunes of the current racers, especially now that there are more women drivers. I suppose that young men began been racing their cars as soon as there were two or three of them with cars to race. Before that, they raced their horses. All of this was brought to mind recently by a mention of the Brookline Super Speedway, a place I never visited and only vaguely remember. It was on Route 13 where Bingham Lumber Co.
