Campbell High School held its fifth annual fashion show in the auditorium March 23. The master of ceremonies and coordinator of the event, English teacher Aimee Burns, is the one who has all of the know-how about fashion. The show features all of the latest spring fashions, as well as sneak peeks at prom dresses and tuxedos that are in style. “It was so much fun,” said Rebecca Landrau, a junior who modeled in the show. “I will definitely be part of it next year, as well.” About six weeks before the show, juniors and seniors can sign up to be models in the show. They’re told what stores they have to visit to get fitted for their clothes and are informed about what goes on during the show. As the show grows closer, the models must attend rehearsals to get used to the different routines. That means that each couple that walks out on stage usually rehearses some sort of short skit to help better show off the fashionable clothes they’re wearing. The models also learn who their partner will be each time they come out, whether sporting a new spring look or a sharp new tuxedo that’s perfect for the junior/senior prom. On Saturday night, the auditorium was filled with people waiting to see what Campbell had in store for this year. In past years, the show was full of laughs and beauty.
