HUDSON â Adventure5k is looking to defend the title of âbest adventure race,â an honor that was awarded in 2012 by The Best of New Hampshire.
Adventure5k is once again seeking runners who are ready to push themselves to the next level and endure the obstacles of the race.
More than 450 runners are registered for the 5K race, which will be held Saturday, June 1, at Liquid Planet Water Park & Zip Lines (www.liquidplanetwaterpark.com), Candia.
Adventure5k organizers are working with CrossFit Tuff (crossfittuff.com) to deliver another challenging race.
âIt is a pleasure to be working with the owners of CrossFit Tuff once again,â race director Shana Hoch said. âWith the feedback we received from participants last year, the experience we gained from hosting two races and the new ideas we have for the course, we are looking forward to seeing some muddier and more exhausted runners cross our finish line this year.â
Events manager Kimberly Lencki said racers should expect the unexpected this year.
âWhile participants might have the advantage of running the property last year, they will be pleasantly surprised by the tricks we have up our sleeve for the new course,â she said.
Organizers expect more than 1,000 runners and more than 2,400 spectators. Wave times are filling up quickly, with two already closed.
To register, visit www.adventure5k.com. The registration fee is discounted the earlier runners sign up; the current price is $60 through Thursday, Feb.
