Bee spells success for middle school students at Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative

Every year at Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative Middle/High School, the middle school students take part in a spelling bee. This year, it has been put on by the sixth-grade language arts teacher, Muriel Pawlik, and the seventh-grade language arts teacher, Jennifer Ramsell. The pronouncer will be 11th-grade American Literature teacher Marcia Contarino. Each sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade student took a spelling test; their language arts teachers read each word out loud and the students were told to spell them on paper. This determined the top 10 students who will participate in the spelling bee. “I didn’t know some of the words, so I did the best that I could, but I made it to the spelling bee,” eighth-grader Emma Kross said. The event was scheduled for 9:40 a.m. Thursday in the cafeteria.
