In the midst of the hectic holiday season, the true spirit of Christmas was on display recently at Infant Jesus School. The students again worked in collaboration with the Nashua Pastoral Care Center in providing Christmas gifts to children and their families, who otherwise might not have anything to open on Christmas morning. After returning from Thanksgiving break, the Care Center provides each class with information about a family in need of “adoption” during the Christmas season. The students learn only the first name, age and what each child is hoping to receive from Santa. Money is collected within each classroom and the students work together in creating a shopping list of what they feel each child may need for Christmas, as well as what each child may want for Christmas. The shopping is done by the teacher or parent volunteers, and the children wrap the presents.
