Thanks for helping with search for pet

To the Editor: After traveling for 27 days and going through 22 percent of her weight, Maki is back home. We are indebted to the many people who allowed us to post signs, searched for her, called us with encouragement and kept us in their prayers. The Granite State Dog Recovery team was relentless in its efforts to recover her. The education it presented to us about conducting a search and the changes in behavior we could expect from a lost pet were invaluable. In desperation, we were wrong in how we approached the search. If GSDR had not guided us, we wouldn’t have Maki back. Thank you, one and all, who helped us search for Maki.
