NASHUA â Nashua High School South seniors Katlyn Barton and Deanna Wallace won the New Hampshire Farm-to-Table Challenge at Southern New Hampshire University recently.
Their challenge consisted of creating a healthy school lunch that meets current nutrition guidelines, stays within a specific budget and incorporates locally grown or locally raised ingredients.
Barton and Wallace won the gold medal with their creation of Rockinâ Apple and Chicken Stir Fry.
Culinary teacher David Quimby coached the students, who were scheduled to be featured on WMURâs âCookâs Cornerâ in December.
The event was sponsored by the University of New Hampshire.
