Science Olympiad, skiing spark Alvirne interests

Several new and exciting clubs are beginning at Alvirne High School. One involves the Science Olympiad. Physics teacher Julie Burton and her colleague-in-science, Judith Sidileau, have organized a team of 11 students who all share a passion for science. The New Hampshire Science Olympiad is a statewide science competition for students in middle and high school. This school year, the competition will be held Saturday, April 6, at St. Anselm College. Among the many participating schools, Alvirne’s competition includes four teams from Merrimack High School, two from Nashua High School North and one from Salem High School. The competition is composed of 23 events.
