Although many high school seniors have been preoccupied with the college application process, some students have made time to give back to their community.
One of the most popular clubs at Nashua High School South is DECA. The Distributive Education Clubs of America helps guide students into becoming leaders and entrepreneurs. DECA members have the opportunity to create a community service project and share their stories and accomplishments at a competition.
For Nashua South seniors Katie McDonald, Oisin McKenna and Katherine Duffy, choosing a project wasnât difficult at all. Their service project is to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.
âMy neighbor died from breast cancer a while ago,â McDonald said.
