The Haunted Hayride has been an Alvirne High School tradition for a long time.
Every year around the end of October, the students work together to create a night of fun to raise money for the school.
This year, the Haunted Hayride was run by Class Act, the schoolâs drama club, for the first time. Previously, it was mainly organized by the Bronco Backers, a booster club for the school.
Individuals paid to ride on a tractor through the woods while different scenes from ghoulish stories were re-enacted around them. After the ride, guests were invited to continue on to either a corn maze full of monsters or get dramatic âinjuriesâ created with theater makeup by some of the makeup artists from Class Act.
âIt was so much fun, and producing the event took a lot of cooperation and hard work,â said senior Jordan McAdam, one of the narrators for the ride.
