Souhegan High School hosted a Meet the Candidates forum for local politicians on Oct. 18.
The Community Council moderated the forum, asking questions and timing each candidateâs stage time.
It was a perfect opportunity for kids and community members to hear, meet and understand their neighbors who are running for different positions in Concord.
âI thought the forum provided a chance not only for the candidates to express their passions and opinions to the public, but also for the community to see how experiential learning contributes positively to Souheganâs curriculum,â said senior Hannah Dean, a Community Council member.
However, attendance wasnât high, especially among students.
âI wasnât even aware of it,â junior Adi Mueller said. âNobody really said anything about it, and I wasnât sure what was going to be going on there. There werenât really any announcements about it during school, either.â
Nevertheless, the forum seemed to be a success for those who did attend.
