NASHUA â This summer, Bishop Guertin High School juniors delivered more than two dozen pillowcase dresses to the girls at the Shitima Orphanage and Kabwe and Malole schools in Zambia, Africa, for the BG Mission Trip 2012.
The dresses were designed and created by students Anjithaa Radakrishnan and Shivani Shrestha, with the guidance of Art Club moderator Kathie Dinan.
The students involved incorporated the project into the Art Club to ensure its expansion. As much success as the Pillowcase Project had this past year, the students will be continuing the project this school year in hope of making more dresses to send for the BG Mission Trip 2013.
The pillowcases, as well as decorations such as ribbons, buttons, lace and other adornments, were donated by members of the BG community.![]()
