Fall is the most stressful time of the year for high school seniors. Itâs the time when they must think about their futures.
Whether itâs applying to college or going straight into a career, this time is overwhelming for Nashua High School South seniors. However, guidance counselors have introduced all students to Naviance, a career and college planning website.
Guidance counselor Linda Sellner said the program âallows students to see how they have grown over their four years at South.â
The goal of the website is to help students in the college process, although some students believe itâs more of a problem than a solution.
âI think right now, Naviance makes everything feel more overwhelming because neither students nor staff is familiar with it,â senior Mia Eisenhandler said.
The class of 2013 is the first at South to use the online program for the college process. Seniors must go through Naviance to request school transcripts and letters of recommendation.
Although students must make these requests online, they also must make them in paper to ensure that the requests go through.
