NASHUA – Watercolors by award-winning painter Suzanne Binnie will be on display at the Nashua Public Library through August. The exhibit, “Culhaven Studios Presents,” features floral, animal and bird paintings, predominantly watercolor with some mixed media, including ink and rice paper and some Zentangle. “Watercolor is my first love,” Binnie said, “and Zentangle is my new passion.” Binnie’s background in design allows her to create attractive but ambiguous pictorial arrangements that tease the eye. “Art is problem-solving applied to combining shapes, colors, textures and hues in stimulating and interesting ways to produce pleasing and satisfying images,” she said. Binnie, a Hollis resident, shows her work at the NOA Gallery in Groton, Mass. She is a certified Zentangle teacher. Binnie’s work won Best in Show awards at the Callao Art Show in Virginia in 1997 and at E.W.
