Mom Prom Nashua raises funds for Breast Care Center

NASHUA – St. Joseph Hospital announced that $7,000 was raised through Mom Prom Nashua 2012 held recently at the Radisson Hotel Nashua. The money went to the Breast Care Center at St. Joseph Hospital, where the funds will be used for breast imaging technology, digital tomosynthesis, three-dimensional imaging for breast cancer screening and diagnosis. Adorned in jewels, makeup and throwback dresses, 230 women paraded through the halls of the Radisson as they entered Mom Prom Nashua. Many women enlisted the help of Salon Pure in Chelmsford, Mass., to get them ready for the festivities. Master of ceremonies Jennifer Wells, from “The Paul Westcott Show,” encouraged the women to dance to the sounds of disc jockey Don Shattuck, of Pepperell, Mass.
