‘Olympic Day’ creator set to retire

Nashua’s Infant Jesus School held its annual Olympic Day, but this year’s event had a different meaning. For Maureen “Missy” Cusack, the physical education teacher who created the event 16 years ago, it marked her last Olympic Day because she will soon retire. Olympic Day took place June 4 at the Muldoon Fitness Center at Rivier College. Students in grades 1-6 split up into three teams and competed in a series of events to work together and concentrate on sportsmanship while having fun.
