American Legion Band in Hudson seeks new members

HUDSON – The American Legion Band at Post 48 has been trooping the colors and keeping the faith for many years, and it hopes to do so well into the foreseeable future. To recruit new blood, it’s holding rehearsals for the 2012 season from 7:30-9 p.m. Mondays through Sept. 24 at the post home on the corner of Central and Fulton streets. All local musicians are invited, and no auditions or military service are required. Just bring your musical instrument and music stand, and you’re all set. “I’ve actually been marching since the 1930s,” band manager George Rowe said.
