NASHUA â The SuperCoop Golf Tournament will be held at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, at The Overlook Golf Club in Hollis.
The Super Coop Fundraising Committee is seeking sponsors, participants and volunteers. All proceeds will go to the Super Coop Fund with the Granite State Credit Union.
The fund benefits Cooper Doucette, 17, a Nashua High School North student who was injured in 2010 during a football practice and suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the waist down.
Fundraising efforts by the committee aim to offset medical costs for Doucette and his family that medical insurance doesnât cover.
The committee is made up of family, friends, teachers, coaches and others who volunteer on projects and ideas that help raise funds for Doucette and his family.
âOur committee is seeking players, sponsors and donors of all levels,â committee member Ray Keefe said. âIf you are unable to be a sponsor, perhaps you are able to donate a gift certificate or service for the raffle, or provide a gift for the competing golfers for the gift bag.â
The cost is $125; you donât have to have a foursome.
The fee includes 18 holes, golf cart, gift and dinner of steak tips, chicken, potato salad and dessert.
