300 raise funds for cancer research at Greater Nashua/Hudson relay

HUDSON – About 300 people turned out May 18-19 to celebrate those who survived cancer, to remember those who lost their battle and to raise money for American Cancer Society research to fight the disease. Teams and individual walkers participated in the annual 18-hour Relay For Life of Greater Nashua/Hudson at Alvirne High School. Top fundraisers were: Individuals – Beth Zaino, of Arrows for the Cause, $2,194.33; Nicholas George, of Sandy’s Swashbuckling Scalliwags, $2,020; Cathy Duso, of 4 Those We Love, $1,7125. Teams – DH-Norris Cotton Cancer Center Nashua, $6,590; 4 Those We Love, $5,564; Arrows for the Cause, $4,235. Donations from teams and individual will be accepted through August.
