NASHUA â A medication take-back day will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, in several Greater Nashua communities.
National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is coordinated by local law enforcement officials and the Drug Enforcement Administration, along with Beyond Influence, a United Way of Greater Nashua program that includes a network of community partners focused on reducing substance abuse in the region.
The program seeks to reduce misuse of certain prescription and over-the-counter medications, especially among youths, and to reduce the presence of pharmaceuticals in local water supplies.
Any prescription or over-the-counter solid-dosage medications â i.e., tablets and capsules â will be accepted.
Illicit substances, such as marijuana, cocaine and heroin, and intravenous solutions and injectable medications wonât be accepted.
Medications will be accepted at these locations:
Brookline Safety Complex, 3 Post Office Drive.
Hollis Police Station, 9 Silver Lake Road.
Hudson Walmart, 254 Lowell Road.
Litchfield Town Hall/Police Department, 2 Liberty Way.
Merrimack Police Department, 31 Baboosic Lake Road.
Nashua Public Works Garage, behind Conway Arena off Stadium Drive.
Wilton Police Department, 7 Burn Hills Road.
