NASHUA â The Adult Learning Center recently announced its âRide to Read ⦠and Walkâ event at a kick-off reception for leaders of local businesses, including WH Bagshaw, Nashua Community College, Melanson Heath & Co., Holt Proctor McBriarty Insurance Agency, Hampshire First Bank, Citizens Bank, Hitchiner Manufacturing, Radar Retail, Goodaleâs Bike Shop, Granite State Flash and Koko Fitness Club.
At the event, Adult Learning Center graduate Harlan Wetmore told his story of dropping out of school in his senior year of high school, working at low-paying jobs, and finally finding his way to the Adult Learning Center. Wetmore earned his GED and is earning high grades at the Nashua Community College.
Area cyclists and walkers interested in participating in this yearâs sixth annual âRide to Read ⦠and Walkâ are invited to register online at ride.adultlearningcenter.org.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, June 3.
