The Guinness Book of World Records has a local angle thanks to a healthy collaboration between Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation and Boys & Girls Clubs across the state. “We’re thrilled to share the news today that thanks to the hard work and energy of Boys & Girls Clubs throughout our state, a new Guinness world record for star jumps has been set,” said Richard P. Lafleur, medical director of Anthem in New Hampshire, referring to jumping jacks. “… I’d like to congratulate all the Boys & Girls Club members who literally jumped their way to a new world record this past spring. By taking part in this event, you’ve inspired all of us to reach for new heights and to make healthy, active lifestyles a part of our daily lives.” In March, Boys & Girls Clubs in New Hampshire joined their peers across the U.S. to break the Guinness world record for the most people doing jumping jacks at the same time.
