The National Alliance for Mental Illness will be offering a free 12-week Family to Family Education Course beginning March 12 in Nashua, for family and friends of individuals with serious mental illness. The curriculum focuses on current information about schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder (manic depression), anxiety and panic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, borderline personality disorder, co-occurring brain disorders and addictive disorders. It includes up to date information about medications and research related to brain disorders as well as communication techniques and problem solving skills. It will balance education and skill training with self-care, emotional support, and empowerment.
Space is limited, enrollment is required.
