MooreMart sends 1,512 s’mores packages to armed forces

NASHUA – MooreMart held its sixth annual s’mores packing event on Feb. 18, when volunteers from throughout New Hampshire packed 1,512 care packages containing requested supplies along with s’mores to members of the armed forces serving in the Middle East. Supplies for schools and orphanages in Iraq and Afghanistan were included. The shipment brings the total number of care packages shipped by MooreMart to members of the armed services to 45,632. Gov. John Lynch, who has been instrumental in expanding MooreMart’s outreach program, attended the event. Lynch has been an avid supporter since 2005 and has helped MooreMart volunteers with ensuring that every member of or our armed services from New Hampshire receives a care package during his or her deployment overseas.
