NASHUA – The Nashua Center, a human-services agency founded in 1974, was awarded a $20,000 grant from the Frederick W. Cox and Dorothy Thurber Cox Memorial Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. The funds will be used to provide a campus-based, structured and individualized post-secondary education program for individuals with developmental disabilities. The grant affords young adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to increase their knowledge, develop special interests, participate in campus life and secure long-term employment connections while promoting growth in independence.
