Public voting will determine two Miss New Hampshire semifinalists

DERRY – The Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program announced that the public may vote for two contestants they would like to see included among the semifinalists for the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Competition. Votes can be cast through Tuesday, April 23, on the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program website at www.missnh.org or Facebook page. The two contestants gathering the largest number of public votes will join the 10 contestants who earn the greatest number of points from the judges. “During last year’s competition, our contestants received an overwhelming number of public votes and it certainly generated a lot of interest in the competition,” said Bill Haggerty, co-executive director of the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program. “We hope fans of all ages will take the time to vote for their favorite contestant and support the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program.” The 67th annual competition will take place from April 25-27 in Stockbridge Theatre at Pinkerton Academy. Tickets can be purchased for the competition and After Party Gala at the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program Office, 20 East Broadway, second floor, or by calling 437-9027. The preliminary competitions on April 25-26 will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10.
