From late-night rehearsals to the satisfying final bow, the senior class play is a beloved tradition at Nashua High School North and one that continues to be a senior year highlight for many students.
Last weekend, the North class of 2013 kept the tradition alive with its performance of âGodspell,â an oft-revived Broadway show detailing a series of parables from the Gospel of Matthew.
Despite setbacks, the seniorsâ performance of the classic play was among the finest seen on the North stage. The format of the show included a variety of individual solo musical numbers and acting vignettes, allowing students to be spotlighted in a way that shows with a more traditional format wouldnât have permitted.
As in years past, the play gave students a chance to perform along with their classmates â many of whom were performing onstage for the first time and would otherwise not have had the opportunity to do so. The members of the âGodspellâ cast felt that the experience brought them closer to their classmates.
âThe senior class play was definitely my best experience at North,â senior Melody Miller said. âI felt as a group, we all came together.
